Peter's expertise with Facility Scheduler has saved us
days of work as we have begun to use Facility CMIS as our academic database.
Our timetable had already been scheduled in Nova-T; he took both the curriculum
structure and the scheduling into Scheduler for us, so that we have a live
timetable which can be adjusted during the year. We have a large number
of rotations (or carousels) in our curriculum, and his suggestions for using
the 'week ranges' in Facility have enabled us, for the first time, to have
displays of the timetable for staff and pupils which correctly represent
the current week.
Our experience has been that he has done the work quickly and efficiently,
and has responded to further questions remarkably speedily. Nothing has
been too much trouble; he has stayed with us in tailoring the timetable
displays to the exact requirements of this school.

Peter saved the
timetable and the sanity of the timetabler when nothing seemed to be going

During the last academic year the school made a significant move away from
Capita to Serco Learning Solutions for the management system. This kind
of move and the ramifications meant the LA, Governors and all other stakeholders
needed to be informed and certain conditions were put on the school. This
meant the actual conversion process and the timetabling were put on hold
until all the stakeholders were convinced that Serco could deliver a system
that was an improvement on what was in place; but it also allowed the school
to report back to the LA in an electronic format.
As the term drew to a close the timetable was nowhere near complete and
some of the fundamentals had been ignored. Simon Rushton of Serco Learning
Solutions recommended Peter to us who took a copy of our data and started
to investigate. Although Peter was very busy during this time of the year
he was able to pinpoint certain issues very quickly. Impressively Peter
was able to assist the school in producing the timetable in a matter of
days. I therefore would like to thank Peter for his help, expert knowledge,
being a calming influence, and most of all for being a truly professional
asset to the school. I look forward to meeting you again in the near future.
